At times you will want to unload a base map surface. You might want to do that simply to speed things up by removing surfaces that no longer interest you. Or you may need to do it because you have reached the maximum number of surfaces that are allowed.

Point to the surface that you wish to unload.

Use the right pointer button to select Unload Surface from the right-button menu.

The surface is unloaded.
