Point
to the place of interest and press the right pointer button to bring up the
right-button menu. From the menu you will be able to select various
operations to perform on that point. Note that all operations from
the right-button menu are relative to the position of the pointer when the
menu was brought up. Also, some menu items will be unavailable ("grayed-out")
unless you are pointing at an appropriate object.

Selecting What's This? will give you additional information about
the base map line and/or polygon you are pointing to.
Selecting Measure Path allows you to measure the distance from
the base map pointnode you selected to any other pointnode in the same theme
via a path that you define (assuming that there are lines available to support
such a path).
Selecting Shortest Path allows you to measure the distance from
the base map pointnode you selected to any other pointnode in the same theme
via a path that xviewsdts defines (assuming that there are lines
available to support such a path). This will be the shortest path
available via existing lines.
Selecting Load Large Scale will load the large scale surface
which covers the point you selected.
Selecting Load Intermediate Scale will load the intermediate
scale surface which covers the point you selected.
Selecting Load Small Scale will load the small scale surface
which covers the point you selected.
Selecting Unload Surface will unload the surface which covers the
point you selected.
Selecting View Surface ID will display information about
the surface which covers the point you selected.
Edit Object, Edit Pointnode, Edit Line
Selecting Edit Pointnode or Edit Line will allow you to change
the position of the pointnode or line you have selected on the overlay map.
View Attributes, Edit Attributes
Selecting View Attributes or Edit Attributes will let you
view the attributes of the overlay object you have selected. Unless you
opened your file in Read-Only mode, you will also be able to modify the
attributes.
Selecting Copy Line will create a new line on the overlay map which
is a copy of the line you have selected on the base map.
Selecting Copy Path will create a new line on the overlay map which
is a copy of a path you defined previously by choosing Measure Path.
Delete Object, Delete Pointnode, Delete Line
Selecting Delete Pointnode or Delete Line will delete the object you have selected from the overlay map.
