To print a map, select Print from the File menu.

The File Print window pops up. This window lets you define your page by setting three parameters, which are best set in the order listed:

This window will look familiar to you if you've exported files. If not, learn how to set these parameters by reading File Export, including the Additional Steps for PS.

When you are ready, click Print .


The Print window pops up. This window allows you to set the position of the map on the paper, the paper's orientation, and various other parameters related to the page size.

When you have things set up the way you want, click Print. The Print window closes, and the map is sent to your printer.

(Hint: If you want to print to a file so that you may send it to your printer at a later time, choose Export...Image (instead of Print) from the File menu, and export the image with File Format set to PS.)
