When you work with overlay maps, you will be working with one or more of the following:
To start a new file set for your objects, or a new file for your graphic characteristics, choose New from the File menu, and choose the appropriate item (Pointnodes, Lines, or Graphic Characteristics) from the cascading menu.
Normally no window will pop-up. The pointnodes, lines, or graphic characteristic specifications that were currently loaded (if any) will simply be cleared.
If, however, you were editing a file and had neglected to save it
before you chose New from the File menu, you may get a question
like this:
You should heed this warning.
Unless you really don't care to save any work that you have done on
your pointnodes since the last time you saved them, you should
answer No.

After saving your file you may again choose New from the file menu.
