To examine or edit the attribute fields for an object on your overlay map, use the Edit Attributes item in the right-button menu. (If you don't know how to create attribute fields, see Edit Attribute Fields.)

If you opened your file in Read-Only mode, this item will be labeled View Attributes because you will be able to examine the attributes, but not edit them.

First, point to the pointnode or line. It will become highlighted.
 
 

Hold the right pointer button, choose Edit Attributes from the menu, then release the button.
 
 

The Edit Attributes popup will appear. Point to the various fields, fill in the desired attributes, and click OK.
