To copy a path from the base map to the overlay map, create a path in Measure Path mode (see Measure Path), then use the Copy Path item in the right-button menu.

Here is a path created in Measure Path mode. Do not exit Measure Path mode yet.
 
 

When you have finished adding lines to the path, hold the right pointer button and choose Copy Path from the menu.
 
 

The screen is refreshed, and the line is drawn on top of the original path using the default graphic characteristics for a line.

You may now exit Measure Path mode.
