Point to the place of interest and press the right mouse button to bring up the Right Click Menu.  From the menu you will be able to select various operations to perform on that point.  Note that all operations from the Right Click Menu are relative to the position of the pointer when the menu was brought up.

Zoom Out

Selecting Zoom Out will cut the scale of the map in half.
 

Zoom In

Selecting Zoom In will double the scale of the map.
 

What's This?

Selecting What's This? will give you additional information about the line and/or polygon you are pointing to.
 

Measure Path

Selecting Measure Path allows you to measure the distance from the pointnode you selected to any other pointnode in the same theme via a path that you define (assuming that there are lines available to support such a path).
 

Shortest Path

Selecting Shortest Path allows you to measure the distance from the pointnode you selected to any other pointnode in the same theme via a path that xviewsdts defines (assuming that there are lines available to support such a path).  This will be the shortest path available via existing lines.
 

Load Large Scale

Selecting Load Large Scale will load the large scale surface which covers the point you selected.
 

Load Intermediate Scale

Selecting Load Intermediate Scale will load the intermediate scale surface which covers the point you selected.
 

Load Small Scale

Selecting Load Small Scale will load the small scale surface which covers the point you selected.
 

Transfer Characteristics

Selecting Transfer Characteristics will display information about the surface which covers the point you selected.
